With the first scene we forecast exactly what was going to happen. Bernard, Beans the kitten, Peanut, Peanut, and Peanut. He likes her because she looks like a cover model and has a vagina. It was light animmal enjoyable, a wonderful small town romance.
When life gets crazy as it OFTEN does in a vet clinic Jade never wavers, is never anything less than calm, never gets ruffled or flustered, and she always stays on top of every det My Review: It makes no sense and there is NO connection between them. Jade has her own issues to d This book is the second book in the Animal Magnetism series by Jill Shalvis and I loved it just as much as the first one.
Though I liked the conflict with their romance, I felt it was dragging on too long so the romance kinda lost some pace.
I just couldn’t sympathize with Dell’s thoughtlessness and self-centerness. Get over the fact that for the first time ever, someone wants me for me? It is the second in the series and can stand alone. As the book moved along I realized he has many layers and loved how Jade is able to slowly peel them away to expose who he really is and the pain he carries. Wouldn’t mind reading about Sam. These books are my idea of a perfect blend of romance, steam, and humor.
But I had a little problem with Jade here. Enjoyed seeing the brotherly friendship between Adam and Dell. The hero is very compassionate and has a bit of a playboy reputation.
Their issues, actually it’s just one issue, was dragged throughout the whole book, only to be resolved in one conversation at the very end, which is, for all I can say, their first honest to god conversation. Hell, you’ve got a list on what’s in your ffree and my office fridge and—” “And don’t forget the list on how many different ways I could kill you,” she said, sipping her drink.
It is no real secret that I am a big Shalvis fan, but this has to one of my favorite books she has written. To me, all of their motives seemed selfish, and their manipulation tactics were infuriating. This is a funny, well-written contemporary romance between an office manager and a very busy country veterinarian. We get Lilah and Brady time as animmal, which I loved. Dell has found a niche for himself now, animals, he loves them but as far his relationship record goes, that’s not so great, he loves women and they him in turn but he doesn’t give them a chance to hurt him.
What three things did I not like xhalvis not appreciate: The guy gets the girl.

I lo Jill Shalvis can always put a smile on my face. She kinda reminded me of me. Their reception area was large and airy, with wideplanked wood floors lined with comfortable benches for waiting. Parts of it frustrated me so much that I started screaming at the characters, so I finally decided to give it two stars instead of three. Ratings and Reviews 0 attrqction star ratings 0 reviews.
There’s a whole host of secondary characters including Lilah and Brady from the first book who are now surgically attached at the lips and Adam who takes on the big brother role and sees Jade and Dell’s deep feelings for each other way before they do.

It’s bromance at its finest. The first book in this series was my first Jill Shalvis read – and I was blow away.

Jade was working her computer with her usual slightly OCD efficiency, which was in complete opposition to her eye-popping green fuzzy angora sweater that reminded him of a lollipop. A Lot Like Love. Feb 28, Danielle rated it it was amazing. To me that’s gross. That eye-straining sweater that matched her eyes and name seemed to shimmer beneath the overhead lights.
She was a scruffy, mangy grayish brown with sharp green eyes, and, like Jade, not swayed by sweet talkers. Jade has kept to herself for the past 18 months working and making friends of her co workers. It Had to Be You.

Dell is the opposite I really enjoyed my second visit to Sunshine, Idaho. Dell was good at protecting himself but when it came to Jade he didn’t have any defenses and he helped frfe overcome her fears and then feared she won’t need him anymore.
Jade was also gorgeous. Jun 21, Jaci Burton rated it it rfee amazing. But the way Shalvis tells the story? Whether the conversations are humorous or serious, her characters speak words that seem normal and natural.
