ASTM D – 18a Standard Specification for Aviation Turbine Fuels
Specification D is directed at civil applications, and maintained as such, but may be adopted for military, government or other specialized uses. However, other units of measurement are included in this standard.
It is informational only and not an official part aetm the standard; the full text of the standard itself must be referred to for its use and application. FAA has issued a Special Airworthiness Information Bulletin which now approves the use of Specification D to replace Specification D as the specification for Jet B and refers users to this standard for reference.
