The Curse of Lono
There were a few subplots that never really conclude or develop very far, but the fact that it is mostly based on actual events could have prevented that. Near fine in pictorial printed wrappers. Here too we get the literally incredible boozing and drugs, the violent antics of the journalist assigned to cover the Honolulu Marathon gone haywire, the sardonic put-on of outpigging the pigs.
Unfortunately, this book lacks the grand mission that You’d think I was safe, being a tree-hugger, but they don’t care. So so hijinks from a mad man. Thompson delivered, as always, this time with a sordid journey through the Hawaiian islands. The longest part is about sport fishing in Kona.
